Where To Look?

Where To Look?

George Bowers
April 2016

There’s fear and terror in the night

There’s angst in daily life,

There’s a multitude of grief and pain

And worry over strife.

How can we deal with all the trash,

How can we live and cope?

Where is the glimmer in the night

Where some ray of hope?

Look not to drink nor labor sore,

Nor to escape in pills,

Look not to lust or even wealth,

For these are passing thrills.

Look to the One who made your soul,

And who alone can fill.

Look to the One who heals all ills,

And spoke to storms, “Be still!”

Go to the Lord and seek His aid,

He’s waiting with His love,

And with His might, He’ll see you through,

With peace like that above.
